New team, Woking LTC E, entertained Godalming L in the Fourth Division having two juniors in their ranks. Jacob Chew grabbed a full house whilst cousin Max Chew recorded his first win. For Godalming Sam Barkham and George Helling notched braces. Burymead E got the better of Godalming N 7-3 with only two players. Mike Dray and Keith Reed netted the points for Burymead. College Hill E edged past Emmanuel 6-4 with Colin Thompson undefeated for College Hill and Paul Stock getting a brace as did Clive Mattin for Emmanuel.Godalming K easily overcame Cranleigh B, 8-2. Newcomer Tim Boxall won thrice with Ben Tahouri and Roger Aspitall both just losing out to Chris Ray. Woking LTC D have started strongly and a 9-1 defeat of Godalming M will help their promotion push. Mervyn Newell and Malcolm Hollett notched full houses with Alex Bolychevsky only getting beaten by John Drake. Bramley E just got the better of Bramley F, 6-4, with David Barraclough of the E team being unbeaten and Bob Holmden getting a duo as did Mike Smith for the F team.
In the Premier Division College Hill A came up against a weaker Godalming A team and edged them out 6-4. Phil Harrison was unbeaten for College Hill whilst Robin Honey won twice for Godalming. Godalming B registered a good result against Burymead A 7-3. Alex Forshaw was a class above everyone else and won all his three whilst Keith Falconer got a pair as did Gordon Holmes for Burymead. Godalming C overcame a two-man Burymead C outfit 7-3. Fei Fei Pei was unbeaten for the winning team with Richard Parke twice successful for Burymead. The Burymead B team has started at a fast rate with a second win for the season, 8-2 against two-man Merrow B. Chris Bush was undefeated for Burymead with Graham Faulkner getting a pair for Merrow.
Godalming D and Challoner B shared the points in the First Division. No player was unbeaten with Yawei Wang and Kaho Cheung for Godalming and Crispian Knight and Maria Taylor-Woodward all winning twice. Ash A trounced Aftermath B 9-1 with Paul Myers and newcomer Rod Kay both undefeated whilst George Earle bagged a brace. Allianz won their first match at this level, 6-4, against Merrow D. Manoj Shah won all his matches for Allianz with Clayton Green chipping in with a pair.
In the Second Division Godalming F has started excellently. An 8-2 success against Burymead D showing that they have no fears playing at this higher level. Danny McGranaghan and Gordon Grover recorded hattricks whilst Fred Florance notched a pair.Aftermath C just got the better of College Hill C 6-4 but none of their players could overcome Jim Clement. James Sellen and David Harden both won their other two games. Cranleigh A and Godalming E shared the spoils with Godalming’s Pavlina Polakova undefeated and teammate Jason Minoo won twice as did Mark Lockyer for the opposition. Bramley C got the better of Woking LTC B 7-3 with Geoff Nevitt winning all his matches. Kerry East won twice for Bramley which was matched by Brian Hartles for Woking. Merrow E has started strongly with a 7-3 win over Bramley the latest result. All three of their players Paul Farrant, Trevor Free and Eric North won twice.
