There is only one unbeaten record remaining in the league after Godalming K thrashed Woking LTC D in the Fourth Division. Tim Boxall reigned supreme with a full house and colleagues Ram Sethi and Roger Aspital chipped in with pairs. At the other end of the table the bottom two sides met with Godalming N edging through 6-4 against Woking LTC E. Sue Holder won all her matches for Woking whilst Brian Richards and Aubrey Collins each secured braces for Godalming. Bramley E kept their promotion drive on track with a 7-3 defeat of Godalming L. Bob Holmden was undefeated for Bramley whilst Stephen Pinn and David Barraclough both got duos.
An excellent team performance from Bramley D saw them victors 7-3 against their B team. Steve Cheeseman was undefeated for the D team with John Diggens notching a pair for the D team as did Linda Makepeace for the B squad. The match also saw Alan Osgood breaking his duck with a win over Mike Willimott. Still unbeaten is Bramley C who thrashed Burymead D 9-1. Kerry East and Geoff Nevitt won their matches with reserve John Diggens winning twice. An emphatic win for Aftermath C against Godalming E. David Harden and Martin Strutt each won thrice whilst James Sellen won a couple. Godalming F now appear to be the strongest challengers to the top two after an emphatic 8-2 defeat of Aftermath D. Danny McGranaghan and Gordon Grover were unbeaten whilst Fred Florance won twice. Merrow E remain in second spot after a close 6-4 win over College Hill C. Ce Guo grabbed a hattrick for Merrow with Paul Farrant winning twice as did Jim Clement for the Brook based outfit.
Burymead B whitewashed their nearest rivals, Godalming A, in the Premier Division. A below strength Godalming fielded just two to give Richard Tanner, Matt Pernet and Michael Hill an early evening finish. Godalming B appear to be the most likely runners-up and this ambition was helped by a 7-3 success over Challoner A. David Rahbani managed a full house for Godalming with Rory Scott notching a duo as did Shaun Robertson for Challoner. Merrow B edged past their clubmates Merrow A, 6-4. Richard Seymour won all his three for the B team with colleague Graham Faulkner bagging a brace. John Robinson won a couple for the A team. Broadmoor proved too strong for Burymead C picking up an 8-2 win. Mark Handcock secured a maximum with John Millward and David Phelps each winning twice but both losing to Mark Batt-Rawden.
Merrow D, in the First Division, has not had a great time recently so an 8-2 win over Cody A was welcome. Dave Halfpenny and Shaun Newbold were unbeaten for Merrow with Scott Ayers only losing out to Paul Shakespeare. Godalming D is easing into promotion contention helped by a 7-3 defeat of Allianz. Christophe Pietrek picked up a full house for Godalming with Pavlina Polokava winning a couple as did Clayton Green for Allianz. Aftermath B and Bramley A shared the points in one of those games where no player went home without a win or loss. Frank Roberts won two for Aftermath as did Nick Gould and Peter Palmer for Bramley.
All bets are off in the Third Division with Godalming G thrashing their nearest rivals, Woking LTC C, 8-2. James Wyncoll picked up a full house with Paul Rumble and Hugh McKee getting pairs. Neither could beat Mike Frean from Woking. The next two sides, College Hill D and Ash D, shared the spoils with Ash’s Ben Fereday picking up an excellent full house. In support David Mackinnon won twice with Derek Hubbard matched this for College Hill.
