In the Premier Division Merrow C has started excellently with their lasest success a 9-1 thrashing of Challoner A. Andy Mudie and Steve French being unbeaten with Micky Lang bagging a pair. College Hill A has shrugged their brush with relegation last season aside and have notched their second success this season – a 7-3 defeat of Godalming A. Rory Scott maintained his unbeaten start to the season with a full house whilst Graham Nutting and Andy Clegg picked up a pair apiece, however neither could get the better of Alan Hoyle. Merrow B took Burymead A’s unbeaten record away with a fine 6-4 success. Star of the evening was the newcomer Dan Barna with a full house whilst he was backed up with a couple from John Callcut matched from Burymead by Phil Snelson. Burymead B meanwhile easily defeated one of their main rivals for the title, Merrow A, 8-2 with Richard Tanner and Chris Bush each scoring three and Tim Waller managed two. Godalming B recorded their first win of the season with a 6-4 beating of Ash A. Keithe Falconer was the hatrick hero for Godalming whilst Sarah Horsnell backed him up with a pair. Eliot Tilley grabbed a couple for Ash.
In the Second Division all bets are off as to the champions. College Hill B look to be way ahead of the rest of the division with their latest success a whitewash of Godalming E. Adi Mitchell, Martin Sharp and Adrian Sharp being the triumphant trio. Currently second is the young team from Ash who cemented that position with a 9-1 win at Cranleigh. Ben Fereday and Sam Wan were unbeaten with David Mackinnon only losing to Peter Coventry. Woking LTC C still boast a 100% record after overcoming Aftermath D 8-2. Mike Frean and Kevin Barkham each recorded trios whilst Ahmad Matoorian bagged a brace. Godalming D also has an unblemished record after a 6-4 win at Aftermath C. James Wyncoll continued his excellent start to the season with a full house whilst Jason Minoo won twice as did David Harden for Aftermath. Bramley C have their first success of the season after a narrow 6-4 win over Burymead D. Linda Makepeace won all her matches for Bramley whilst Joe Melchionno picked up a pair as did Jack Harrington for the losers.
In the Fourth Division the only remaining 100% record belongs to Woking LTC D who whitewashed Godalming J. Mervyn Newell, Malcolm Hollett and Alerx Bolychevsky may well be able to maintain the promotion push to the end of the season this year. Giving them a hard fight will be College Hill F who again came up against a two-man outfit, Godalming M. College Hill managed a 7-3 success with Richard Abbey and Dick Tull unbeaten. Perhaps the match of the week in this division was between Emmanuel TTC and Woking LTC F. They shared the spoils with Rakesh Kumar undefeated for Woking and Clive Mattin and Stephen Schofield each winning twice for Emmanuel.
