College Hill D has taken the early lead in the Third Division. Their win last week was against Challoner C, 7-3. Derek Hubbard was unbeaten for College Hill with Steve Clement notching a pair. This was matched by Jason Gee for Challoner. Abinger also boast a 100% record with Cody B their last victims. Mike Hughes and Brendan Bayley were both unbeaten for Abinger. Merrow F is the last 100% team in the division with a tight, 6-4, defeat of Bramley D. Ashley Barnes was their hero with a full house whilst Carole Ingram chipped in with a pair which was matched by John Diggens for Bramley. Ash D remain unbeaten having shared the points with Godalming F. Chris Kelly picked up the expected maximum for Godalming with Margaret Thornton and Sandy Simpson bagging braces for Ash. College Hill E proved too strong for Bramley E prevailing 7-3. Paul tanton and Paul Stock won all their matches for College Hill.
Woking LTC D lead the Fourth Division although they only managed to beat their E team 6-4. Malcolm Hollett bagged a full house for the D team with Alex Bolychevsky getting a pair. Woking LTC F also has a 100% record with newcomer Rakesh Kumar getting a trio in his first match against College Hill F. Rick Clement and Richard Abbey managed a couple apiece for College Hill. Emmanuel also boast a !00% record although they might have been even better placed as they turned up with just a couple of players in their match against Godalming K. Clive Mattin and Roger acquired all the points in a 7-3 success. Bramley G and Godalming J shared the points with no player unbeaten. George Helling and Joe Lambert got a couple for Godalming and Mike Smith managed a pair for Bramley. Godalming M whitewashed their L team. Patrick Zhao, Peter Cousins and Tony Hodson won the points for the M team.
Burymead C appear to have put the disappointment of relegation behind them and they have managed a flying start to the season. They have a 100% record which was maintained with a thumping 9-1 win over Allianz. Tim Goodship and Joel Clancy were unbeaten with Ian Farley notching a pair. Cody A and Ash B shared the points with Ash’s Alan Gess the unbeaten player of the evening. Peter Anthony and Paul Shakespeare managed duos for Cody. The match between Bramley B and Aftermath B was also a draw. No player was unbeaten with Phil Thompson and Dick Nevitt grabbing duos for Bramley and Steve Cheek winning twice for Aftermath.
