There were some major results in the Third Division when the two remaining unbeaten records fell. Godalming J beat College Hill D 6-4 with doubles from Matheus Brocardo and Hugh McKee but nobody could get the better of College Hill’s Steve Clement. Bramley D also won 6-4 to inflict Aftermath E’s first defeat. Gary Nicholson remained undefeated for Bramley with both Alan Webb and Dave Thomas bagging braces for Aftermath. Bramley C eased past Woking B 6-4 with Steve Palmer winning all three and colleague Alan Osgood winning twice. Malcolm Hollett won a couple for Woking.
Godalming F, in the Second Division, maintained their perfect record by inflicting the first loss of the season on Bramley B 7-3. Jamie Felton recorded a maximum for Godalming with colleague Charlie Cunningham supporting with a duo. Linda Makepeace won a couple for Bramley. Abinger A also have a proud unbeaten record after defeating Godalming G 7-3. Brendan Bayley recorded a full house for Abinger with team-mate Mike May getting a duo as did Godalming’s Paul Fenton.
In the Premier Division Godalming C beat a two-man College Hill A outfit, 8-2, to notch their first victory of the campaign. Clayton Green and Tony Harrild were both unbeaten for Godalming. Burymead C eased past Merrow C 6-4 with Daniel Heo leading the way with a full house. Tim Goodship won a couple in support as did Merrow’s Micky Lang.
Challoner B have moved to the top of the First Division with an emphatic 9-1 victory over Merrow D. Steve Collins and Maria Hilsdon were both unbeaten with Crispian Knight bagging a brace. Merrow E and Aftermath B shared the points. Trevor Sanders recorded a trio for Aftermath with team-mate Bill Matlock winning twice as did Merrow’s Ce Guo.
