Burymead B continue to be the team to beat in the Premier Division. A whitewash of Aftermath A maintained their position of strength in the table. Matt Pernet, Richard Tanner and Chris Bush being the triumphant trio. Merrow A, though, still cling on to top spot with an impressive 8-2 success over Burymead C. Koran Ozcan was unbeaten for Merrow with Martin Townshend and Mike Fisher each only losing to Mark batt-Rawden who appears to be playing at the top of his game. Poor old Burymead A find themselves in the bottom two after a trouncing from Merrow C who have used nine players equally so far but of differing standards. On this occasion their best two Hari Gehlot and Jason Tendler were playing and were unbeaten.
In the First Division Merrow E have chalked up their first win, 8-2, against Challoner C, who are on the edge of the promotion battle. Robin Street was unbeaten with Shaun newbold and Keith Cunningham only losing out to Sally Cimiotti. Woking LTC B also tasted success for the first time with a narrow 6-4 win over Cody A. Richard Scott was unbeaten with Ollie carpenter notching a couple of wins. This was matched by Peter Anthony for Cody who are still looking for their first win. Elsewhere Bramley A lost their 100% record with a draw against Challoner C. Challoner’s star player was Roland Mclellan but peter Palmer and Ron Stracey each picked up a couple of wins for Bramley.
In the Second Division Aftermath D avoided defeat for the first time with a draw against Godalming E. John Setterfield and Dave Thomas each secured pairs for Aftermath with Jason Minoo and Tony Laws matching that for Godalming.
The two Ash sides clashed in the Third Division with the C team getting the better of the B side thanks to trios from martin Gilbey and Jackie Rice. Challoner D are going to be in the shake up for promotion with a 7-3 success over Godalming F secured on the back of a full house from Tom Taylor-Woodward and braces from Jason Gee and Darrin Watson both of these succumbing to Frank Li. Merrow H maintained their unbeaten record with a 7-3 defeat of Cody B. Chris Mattock secured a trio for Merrow with David Lush contributing a duo. Stuart Stone won twice for Cody. Two of the surprise packets of the division are Bramley E and Abinger who fought out an honourable draw. No player was unbeaten with Paul Kim and David Barraclough, for Bramley, and Keith Sutton and Brendan Bayley for Abinger each winning twice.
The Fourth Division is taking some time to settle down, there appear to have been more postponements in this division than any other, but the clear leaders are newcomers College Hill D. Their most recent victims were Bramley F who they whitewashed. Paul Tanton, Peter Caudrey and David Reading were the victorious trio. Godalming K unfortunately went to Bramley G with only two players but that did not prevent Tony Laws and newcomer Alan Hoyle winning all seven available points.
